Dan was born and raised in Skokie, Illinois, graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelors in Sociology, and then went on to trade at the Chicago Board of Trade for 25 years. Dan has four children: 2 older boys from his first marriage and 2 young girls with his wife who now reside in Lincoln Park, Illinois.
