Coffee with The Pastor | Ep 101 | Hymns for Heavy Days: Hope, Rest, and Remembering with Steve Kirk

In this Coffee with the Pastor conversation, Pastor Andy McDaniel and Pastor Steve Kirk explore why three classic hymns still land with modern hearts:

It Is Well with My Soul — Horatio Spafford’s grief turned into a song that teaches peace in the storm. His Eye Is on the Sparrow — The simple truth that God sees even the small things—and hasn’t forgotten you.Just As I Am — Charlotte Elliott’s battle with despair became an altar call for the ages: come as you are.

Along the way, Andy and Steve talk honest faith, real rest, and how singing truth reshapes our thinking when hope feels thin. Whether you’re navigating loss, anxiety, or just a long week, these stories and lyrics offer courage to keep going—and a fresh reason to worship.
