In Mark 14:43–52, an unlikely alliance of Roman soldiers and religious leaders gathers to arrest Jesus, while Judas betrays Him with a kiss and Peter tries to take control with a sword. Yet no one takes Jesus’ life from Him—He steps forward willingly, submitting to the Father’s plan to save betrayers, sinners, and doubters like us. In the end, every person will bow before Him; the only question is whether we bow now in surrender or later in judgment.
