After Jesus' death, the religious leaders took His prophecy of resurrection seriously and acted to prevent any deception, while His own disciples and followers failed to fully grasp or believe His words. Meanwhile, the women prepared to properly anoint His body, still expecting Him to remain dead. During the time between His death and resurrection, Jesus entered the realm of the dead, specifically the place of the righteous, where He proclaimed victory, demonstrated His authority over death, and fulfilled prophecy. Through this, He not only triumphed over spiritual powers but also secured authority over death and the grave, ultimately making a way for the righteous to be brought into the presence of God rather than the place of the dead.
