The child he held was the long-awaited Savior, bringing light, peace, and salvation to the world. Yet Simeon also foretold the suffering that would lead to that salvation, reminding us that Christ’s victory would come through the cross.
Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are offered forgiveness, freedom, and abundant life.
