“Catechetical Series on the Eucharist” By Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M.

In Part 2 of Bishop O'Connell's Series on the eucharist, he describes the importance catechesis plays in the belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the eucharist. Our Catholic faith and teachings are inspired by the scriptures. Bishop cites many of these scripture accounts of God's presence among his people, especially in the eucharist.

In the third part of his "Catechetical Series on the Eucharist", Bishop O'Connell shares excerpts from theologians, saints and Saints which emphasize our unchanging fundamental belief in the Eucharist, started by Jesus at the Last Supper.

In the fourth part of his "Catechetical Series on the Eucharist", Bishop O'Connell shares excerpts from Papal, Vatican II, U.S. Bishop's documents demonstrating the continuity and constancy of Eucharistic doctrine.

In the fifth and final part of his "Catechetical Series on the Eucharist", Bishop O'Connell presents a Lexicon including words, terms and expressions describing or referring to the Holy Eucharist or its celebration.
