Many will begin asking, who is funding it? Who is organizing it?
France is watching its secondary schools, Lycees, burn while the political class treats the arson as a press conference. Over the last week of September and into October 1, 2026, blockades over teacher shortages and rundown buildings turned into fires and attacks in Nantes, where the entrance hall of Lycee Nelson Mandela was gutted and officials said fires hit three schools with nine establishments degraded. In Marseille, a crowd drove firefighters off their truck before torching it and staff at Victor Hugo were splashed with gasoline.
Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez reported 625 mostly young people detained on Wednesday alone and 83 officers hurt, with more than 160 schools shutdown. Now a total of 3000 arrested. The French government blaming TikTok challenges titled “trash your high school.”
Then there is the far left Muslim mayor who decided the fire was a photo opportunity. Bally Bagayoko stood with pupils outside Lycee Paul Éluard, he told reporters violence can be legitimate, saying “If I slap you, you will react”. Meanwhile, Lycee Léonard de Vinci in Roubaix was torched. In at least another 12 French cities barriers, and fencing went up in flames and principals and police were attacked.
But as this chaos continues to spiral out of control. Many, like Marine Le Pen have begun asking, who is funding it? Who is organizing it?
Oddly enough, as the French authorities would have you ignore, it appears to be the children of immigrants rather than native French children doing all of the damage. Raising the question, when do the no go zone parents of these arsonists say hold my Pouilly-Fuissé and the true inferno begins?
