This week, we are closing out Season One with the episode that changed everything... Prophecy Girl. I am joined by my friend Galen, and truly, I have never laughed so much recording an episode of this podcast.
We talk about the weight of destiny, Buffy finally being told she is going to die, and why this episode solidifies her as one of the most important television heroes of all time. We admire Buffy’s iconic dress, shed a tear or two, absolutely tear Xander down where appropriate, and spend time unpacking why Buffy has always represented the “othered” so powerfully and so honestly.
This conversation is full of laughter, heart, and love for a show that has meant so much to both of us, and it felt like the perfect way to end this season.
