This week we’re sinking our fangs into Episode 4 of Season 1... Teacher’s Pet. For years, this one lived in my personal Buffy graveyard. A Xander-centric, hot-for-teacher story that had me rolling my eyes since I was twelve. Between the trope overload and his treatment of Buffy, it was an episode I swore I’d never defend.
But rewatching it now... something’s changed. Maybe it’s the campy creature feature energy, the Goosebumps-level nostalgia, or the fact that our femme fatale of the week absolutely owns her villain era. Whatever it is, I’m suddenly seeing Teacher’s Pet in a whole new light, and honestly... I’m kind of obsessed.
Join me as I revisit the episode that crawled out of my dislike pile and into my heart.
