#680 - Ryan Hurd on Writing for Morgan Wallen, His Biggest Hits & the Most Personal Album of His Career

Ryan Hurd sits down with Bobby to talk about life as both an artist and one of Nashville’s most successful songwriters. He shares the stories behind writing songs for Morgan Wallen, Lady A, Jordan Davis and more, including how “Heartless” became one of the biggest songs of his career. Ryan also opens up about why songwriting feels more like a calling than a job, the reality of making a living through streaming and touring, and what it takes to keep chasing songs that stand out. Plus, he gets personal about his upcoming album, how writing helped him process a difficult chapter of his life, and why this record feels like the closing of one door and the beginning of something new.
