About this episode

Blackcoffee podcast is back with a new series of Blackcoffee meets Europe, the winning project of the Culture of Solidarity Fund of the European Cultural Foundation.

On this first episode, we take an archivistic tour around the world to tackle the issue of decoloniality. Where does this movement come from and what can it offer to our societies across the globe ? Why do we need to talk about decoloniality today and what are the different methodologies originating from decolonial approaches ?
We will be furnishing important elements to understand how the imperial and colonial domination have affected our contemporary society, both via power and knowledge. Additionally, we will be introducing the most important founding figures of the decolonial movement: Walter Mignolo from Argentina, Enrique Dussel from Mexico, Ramon Grosfoguel from Puerto Rico and Anibal Quijano from Peru.
