About this episode

Here we are with the third and last episode of Navigating Mental Health with BIPOC in Italy.

In this episode Ariman and Omar are talking about CPR, detention centers for repatriation, where people who have not committed any crime are blocked.

CPR are detention centres that don’t ensure psychiatric or psychological support. Consequently, the health of the people locked up in CPRs is completely neglected. They often have gone through generally traumatizing migration stories and, therefore, have a precarious mental state.

This episode is dedicated to defining CPR and telling the stories of SM’, Moussa Blade and Wiseem Abdel Latif. Three persons whose experiences of detention are emblematic of the total disregard for mental health or even the worsening of their conditions.
