Joel 2, Celestial Disturbances, and the Day of the Lord

What does Joel 2 teach about the timing of the Day of the Lord, the rapture, and the great tribulation? In this opening session, Alan Kurschner begins a Bible prophecy conference by focusing on one of the most important prophetic markers in Scripture: the celestial disturbance event described in Joel 2:30–31. The passage says that the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and awesome Day of the Lord comes. That single word—before—has massive implications for understanding end-times chronology.
