About
Sons of Liberty Radio with Bradlee Dean

Hollywood's Infatuation With Witchcraft and the Occult

In a solo broadcast, Bradlee Dean argues that Hollywood and Disney have embraced witchcraft and the occult at the expense of children, walking through specific films, Hollywood history, and scripture on separation from the world before taking calls from listeners Margie and Chris.

Movie Ratings and Hollywood's Hypocrisy
Bradlee Dean opens the broadcast by recalling a trip to see The Passion of the Christ in Kansas City, where a theater posted a warning sign urging parents to research the film's Aramaic dialogue and graphic brutality before bringing children. He contrasts that caution with three other films showing in the same theater at the time, Monster, Calendar Girls, and 21 Grams, each flagged for violence, nudity, or drug content yet carrying no warning sign at all. Dean cites box-office figures claiming G-rated films average far higher profits than R-rated releases, arguing studios push adult content anyway because, as he puts it, entertaining people lets you control them. He traces the claim to a saying attributed to Caesar about bread and spectacle, and notes that Hollywood's 1946 production code once banned words like "lousy" and required screen criminals to be punished before the credits rolled. A clip of aggressive music follows before the formal show segment begins.

Opening the Show and Naming the Topic
After the Sons of Liberty's station identification, Bradlee Dean welcomes "friends as well as a few enemies" to the program and explains that the harder-edged AI-generated music bumpers heard at the top of the hour were made at listener request by his producer, Don, from BBS News. He tells the audience that today's subject is Hollywood and Disney's shared infatuation with witchcraft and the occult, tracing it back to a history he gives of Hollywood originally being called Hollywoodland and the property having been donated as free land for church parishes. Dean argues the churches went derelict in vetting entertainment by around 1968, handing the responsibility to what he calls "carnal Satanists," and ties the cultural shift to the Satanic Bible's creed "do what thou wilt" replacing the Ten Commandments' "thou shalt not." He frames the rest of the hour as an accounting of what filled that vacuum.

Witchcraft Titles and The Breeder
Dean runs through a list of recent witchcraft- and occult-themed titles he says are aimed at children, including Hex, Agatha All Along, Hocus Pocus, The Owl House, Halloweentown, The Watcher in the Woods, Just Beyond, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and claims Harry Potter is often the first gateway for people pursuing the occult. He then retells a story he says came from a youth pastor early in his Christian life, about a teenage girl, one of a set of twins born to a preacher, who was taken from the hospital into a witches' coven, raised as what the coven called a "breeder," repeatedly impregnated so the resulting infants could be sacrificed. Dean connects that account to a new film, The Breeder, which he says uses a transgender actress to lure a man into unwitting participation in human breeding and sacrifice, calling the premise illegal under what he describes as the Torah-based foundation of common and canon law.

Scripture, Law, and a Demon's Parable
Dean tells a parable of Satan rewarding a demon who proposes deceiving mankind not with atheism or evolution but with the lie that there is always "more time," tying it to 2 Corinthians 6:2 on today being the day of salvation. He reads 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 10 as a direct indictment of Hollywood's output, listing fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, the effeminate, and thieves among those he says will not inherit the kingdom of God. Citing Montesquieu on liberty as the right to do what law permits and John Locke on departing from God's moral law producing tyranny, Dean argues new releases like How to Rob a Bank effectively train audiences in crimes the same society later prosecutes. The segment includes recorded endorsements from caller Carl, broadcaster Perry Atkinson of Dove Radio and TV, and quotations Dean reads from Patrick Henry, John Hancock, Puritan John Owen, and theologian Francis Turretin on tyranny, grace, and effectual calling.

Callers Margie and Chris Weigh In
Taking calls, Margie from Minnesota raises France's President Emmanuel Macron and his spouse, Celine Dion's recent concert imagery, and Taylor Swift's influence on young fans she calls "Swifties," arguing all three normalize what she considers demonic symbolism; Dean responds by quoting Puritan writer Thomas Watson on those who "spit against heaven" falling on their own back, and agrees Celine Dion has "crossed the lines." Margie also cites 2 Chronicles 7:14 as her hope for national repentance, while Dean counters that America shows no sign of repenting. Chris calls in from Springville and recalls that television inventor Philo T. Farnsworth, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, reportedly refused to let his own children watch television by 1953 because of what was already being broadcast. Chris adds that turning on modern programming gives him "this dark feeling" of being programmed, and Dean agrees, tying the decline to churches abandoning scripture.

Madonna, the Great Seal, and a Call to Separate
Returning from break, Dean reads Benjamin Franklin's proposed Great Seal motto, "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God," describing Thomas Jefferson's edited design of Pharaoh's chariot pursuing Israel through the parted Red Sea. He then turns at length to Madonna, recalling that she once told worried mothers she "pleads the Fifth" over her sexual content and told Larry King her own daughter was not allowed to watch what Dean calls the same "garbage" she sells to other children; he calls her a "fallen star" rather than the standard the culture holds her up to be. Dean also claims, without naming a source, that the CIA deliberately promotes untalented performers and gang and drug themes in music to degrade society. He closes by reading 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 and James 4:4 on being "unequally yoked" with unbelievers, urging listeners to "come out from among them" before the broadcast ends.
