Scott Kesterson on Trump Accounts: “It’s so easy to get people distracted, and we’re not looking at the real core of what’s going on.”
WHAT THIS EPISODE COVERS
Scott Kesterson looks behind three stories from this week: the Oval Office event for Trump Accounts, the $9.7 billion Pentagon software contract held by Dell, and the deal to bring Russian diesel to world markets. He sets out the account rules, the timing before the November 3 election, and the math on how far the diesel goes. He ties them to his view that a few large companies and the state now control access to markets.
KEY QUESTIONS ADDRESSED
What do Trump Accounts do, and who gains from them?
How does the Dell pledge connect to Dell’s Pentagon contract?
How far does 4.8 million tonnes of Russian diesel go against U.S. demand?
