A sculptor could carve beautiful statues from any stone he found. One day, he discovered an excellent stone and split it into two pieces to create a masterpiece. One piece could not withstand the sculptor's chisel and was set aside. Using the other piece, the sculptor worked tirelessly and carved a beautiful idol of Lord Ganesha, which was installed in a temple. The rejected stone was later used as a temple step.
