जोधपुरसाम्राज्ये राजा रामसिंहः आधिपत्यं वहन् आसीत् । कदाचित् रामसिंहः महता शौर्येण मोगलैः सह युद्धम् अकरोत् । भीतं मोगलसैन्यं तत्स्थानात् पलायनम् अकरोत् । पलायमानाः पिपासापीडिताः मोगलसैनिकाः कस्यचन तडागस्य जलं पातुं यदा उद्यताः तदा रामसिंहस्य सैनिकाः तेषां जलपानं निवारितवन्तः । रामसिंहः त्वरितं तत्रागत्य 'इमे निश्शस्त्राः, निस्सहायाः, पिपासाबाधिताश्च । जलपानाय प्रतिगमनाय च अनुमन्यन्ताम्' इति उच्चैः आदिष्टवान् । ततश्च मोगलसैनिकाः जलं पीत्वा रामसिंहस्य औदार्यगुणेन आवर्जिताः सन्तः तं प्रशंसन्तः स्वस्थानं प्रतिगताः ।

In the kingdom of Jodhpur, King Ramasinha once fought bravely against the Mughals. The Mughal army, terrified, fled the battlefield. Thirsty and exhausted, the fleeing soldiers tried to drink water from a pond, but Ramasinha’s men stopped them. The king quickly arrived and commanded loudly, “These men are unarmed, helpless, and tormented by thirst. Let them drink and return.” The Mughal soldiers, after quenching their thirst, were deeply moved by the king’s generosity and praised him before departing.
