दुर्गादासराथोड: कश्चन अप्रतिमवीर: । कथञ्चित् दुर्गादास: मारणीय: इति मोगलाजना: चिन्तयन्त: आसन् । कदाचित् दुर्गादास: पुण्यक्षेत्रस्य दर्शनसमये एकस्यां रात्रौ कस्यचित् मराठदलपते: गृहे वासम् अकारोत् । स: दुर्गादासं मारयित्वा राज्ञा प्रभूतं धनं स्वीकरिष्यामि इति मत्वा खड्गं स्वीकृत्य दुर्गादासं मारयितुम् उद्युक्तः अभवत् । अग्रे किं जातम् इति स्वारस्यकारीं कथां श्रुत्वा जानीमः ।
