Ambulancing on the French Front by Edward R. Coyle (1887 - 1939)

Edward Coyle was one of the first Americans to serve in the ambulance service in World War I. From a lengthy account of the Siege of Verdun, to such chapters as, “The American YMCA,” “Rear-Line Diversions, and ”Spies," Coyle gives us rare insights into the human side of this intense war.
