After Paul and Silas explained the word of God to him, they baptised him and his family. There was no reason to wait; besides, they were going to be released the following day. The jailer and his family were filled with joy upon coming to faith. From this, we can infer that they were also filled with the Holy Spirit, for joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
