In Traditional Society, Men Think They Are Superior to Women.

About
One common convention in a patriarchal society is the belief among men that they are superior to women; indeed, some men in our society still Harbour the notion that they possess a right of ownership over the women in their families. In such households, if a woman is unable to bear children for any reason, the man considers himself entitled to take a second wife; furthermore, should he deem it necessary to take a third or fourth wife, no one can effectively stand in his way. Conversely, if the man himself is unable to father a child—whether due to illness, physical impairment, or any other cause—he finds it difficult to accept the existence of such a defect or physical limitation; this is because he has internalised the idea that men are free of flaws, and that any such shortcoming must lie with their wives.
