What happens when a grandmother's message in a dream inspires a new chapter in life?
On Book 101 Review, Daniel Lucas welcomes Brigid Kennedy—author, mother, violinist, and creator of the YA historical fantasy series Of Irish Myths & Incan Legends—to explore the family history and creative courage behind LOST.
Brigid shares the story of the dream that inspired her to write, the family mystery surrounding her great-grandfather's disappearance into the Amazon, and how she brings Irish mythology and Incan legends into her fiction. We also discuss balancing motherhood, music, and writing; learning to trust your creative voice; and finding the courage to tell a story that matters.
From ancestral connections to the power of loyalty, this conversation explores how family stories can inspire imagined worlds—and help us understand where we come from.
