Today we're reading Genesis 3:20-24 where Adam is exiled from the tree of life. After Adam and Eve sin, God casts them away from the tree of life. And, at the east of the garden, God stations spiritual guardians to prevent anyone from finding the way back to the tree of life. Have you ever wondered why God places a flaming sword and cherubim? Why does God mention the East? And why does He making coverings for Adam and Eve? Is there a deeper message underneath all of this that we’ve possibly missed? To really see the spiritual wisdom here, we need to understand how this connects to God’s fiery presence in the sacred temple.
