Summary:
Chapter 3 is one of the most beloved portions of Proverbs. It teaches that a wise life is one of trust, humility, and obedience to God. Solomon exhorts the reader to honor the Lord with their possessions, to accept His correction, and to embrace wisdom as a tree of life.
The latter part of the chapter reveals the blessings and peace that come from walking in wisdom, contrasting it with the ruin that comes to the wicked.
