Focus On Living Your Life Well
“Do not fret because of the wicked; do not be envious of wrongdoers,” -Psalm 37:1
Many of us spend an inordinate amount of time worried about what other people are doing. Some of us are out right jealous of the folks we know are doing wrong.
Too many of us see their clothes, their cars, their jewelry. We hear about their parties, their sexual adventures, their bank rolls and bank accounts. In some cases we see them getting the recognition and the promotions, and we wish it were us.
Don’t be jealous of castles built on sand. We can’t see their pain or feel their fear. Some have to sleep with gun under their pillows and have no friends they can truly trust. Many have gotten everything they thought they ever wanted and are still feeling empty. Others are dealing with consequences, some life long, they had never even considered.
Don’t be jealous of these folks. Let us instead focus on living our lives well. Let us focus doing the right things, in the right places, with the right people for the right reasons. Let us trust that this is a better way to live.
