Kimi Antonelli started nineteenth. He finished first. At Monza, in front of a crowd that has waited sixty years to see an Italian win their home Grand Prix, he did it in Mercedes silver.

Dick, Joe Saward, and Sabrina spend nearly as much time on that moment as they do on the race itself, and on a detail buried underneath it: the person most responsible for developing Kimi into this driver just left Mercedes for Red Bull.

Behind Kimi, Ferrari fell apart. A collision between teammates. A crash that could have been far worse than it was.

A question none of the three of them can fully answer: how is Mercedes still winning at the one track built to reward pure horsepower, under a rule the FIA wrote specifically to encourage hybrid technology.
