The New York Urban League will host its 36th annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities Fair on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park in Manhattan. 1010 WINS' Sharon Barnes-Waters spoke to Arva Rice, CEO & President of the New York Urban League who said that over 40 HBCU'S will be in attendance and several schools will offer on-site admissions and waive fees for qualifying students. 1010 WINS' Sharon Barnes-Waters spoke to Arva Rice, CEO & President of the New York Urban League who said that over 40 HBCU'S will be in attendance and several schools will offer on-site admissions and waive fees for qualifying students. Over one million dollars in scholarships will also be given out at the fair and there will be workshops and guest speakers focusing on helping students gain the knowledge and tools necessary for them to move to and through higher education.
