Sean Adams (Ph.D. Wisconsin, 1999) is the Hyatt and Cici Brown Professor of History and specializes in the history of American capitalism and energy. He explores the relationship of fossil fuel and the US, and is entitled Home Fires: How Americans Kept Warm in the 19th Century. He also leads the Inquire Capitalism program, which provides resources for students, researchers, and the general public on the history of capitalism as well as writes in his blog called EnergyPast.
